Used this tutorial for the shader and general concept. It also had much more elegant position code than I used.

One note with this tutorial: The texture looks washed out and the colors don't reflect the others on the screen. To fix this, enable "keep 3d Linear" in the viewport node.

The game is at a low resolution because it's at the default Godot resolution. The lower resolution also helps the game run two cameras from a browser.

This ended up being the precursor to my portal project
